Present Day

On 1 April 2015 the airfield owners, Fareham Borough Council, appointed Regional and City Airports (RCA) to manage the airfield. FBC constructed new entrances to eliminate the need for runway crossings by vehicles, and redevelopment of numerous parts of the site began.

RCA were replaced as operator on 1st April 2026 by EGHF Ltd led by experienced aerodrome operator Matt Wilkins.

CEMAST (Centre of Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training), part of Fareham College, now provides facilities on previously undeveloped land in the south east corner of the airfield. Wartime Hangar A was demolished to make way for the Fareham Innovation Centre, a complex of business starter units adjacent to the South-East Apron, and investment was put into new roads and infrastructure, and hangars for aviation use with runway access.

Since 2023, the airfield has undergone a significant resurfacing project, improving a number of the airports taxiways. Construction of new Aerodrome Ground Lighting was completed and went into service in late 2025.
